ABOUT!
Dear God, why? Another literary magazine, why? Why, why, why? That's unanswerable and unjustifiable, so it won't be troubled except that maybe this one has a different style from many others. The style is hopefully a style that I'm personally looking for, that would find my stuff appealing, that has elsewhere found it undesirable or 'not a fit' for their pages; so I hope that the style gardened here offers others some ground to grow that isn't available for them in other spaces.

The victory flamingo is a tradition at Golden Knights games, where fans throw plastic yard flamingos on the ice after home victories. Since this is a Vegas literary magazine, and that I'm a huge (and obnoxious) Knights fan (and since the Knights are Vegas & I love flamingos ((and victory)), that felt a fitting name & image. Vegas Born, after all. I love Vegas more than anything, so another aim of this magazine is to make sure that, for whatever it's worth, that curatorial style stayed true to the idea that I wanted Las Vegas to have a literary magazine of its own. While there are some already, Victory Flamingo is unaffiliated with any university or institution.
